current books I'm reading

I have tried to begin reading again. It's about time. After six years of college I had read enough to last a lifetime. Anyway, the three books currently reading....




This is actually a book for small group from church. It is an interesting small group as it is five married couples all with at least one child, though two of us couples have changed churches since the group started. We are reading a chapter a week for group, though only twice a month do we actually do a study b/c one week is pot luck family day and one week is sabbatical off week. So far we just started the book and the premise thus far is aimed with exercises and homework to grow spiritually. We can loan it out but it will be a while.





This book is a pick from my wife, so you know it will be a little bit meatier and that is a good thing. So far it is about what "fear" really means about God, and why we do fear the Lord, and that is a GOOD thing! Once again this is a newer book, only two chapters in, but so far it is great. We are happy to loan it out to others once we are done with it.






A plot of prior blogs, I am almost done with this one. My father's review is about right. It begins, and doesn't really go anywhere. Near about 80 percent in you start to think, so where is this plot going? And then you realize, the book is going to end soon. That is where it is going, the book runs out of pages and it ends. He is a great author but has better books than this one.
